libbs lake

Situated on a long, narrow lake lot, Libb's Lake draws inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright's Usonian principles of compression and release. The entry sequence begins with a more intimate arrival before opening into an expansive kitchen, dining, and living space anchored by a prominent hearth and framed by sweeping lake views.

Large roof overhangs, a low-pitched roof, and subtle brows at the gable ends reinforce the home's architectural expression. Natural materials throughout the interior create a grounded, earthy character, while heated concrete floors add warmth and comfort. Modest room proportions keep the focus on the surrounding landscape, with carefully placed windows balancing lake views, privacy, and natural light. Warm wood ceilings and custom kitchen millwork bring intimacy to contemporary living within a timeless architectural form.
